Hardware
  • Intel Processors are the only ones we recommend. The best processor that you can afford for the selected platform is preferred.Server:
    • Intel® Xeon® processor
    • 3000 or 5500
    • 7400 if doing virtualization Intel Server Processor Spec Sheet
    • At least 6GB of RAM is recommended, 12GB would be better
    • Hard-disk space required: at least 200GB of free space
    • NIC 100MB Ethernet or better

For GP Installations –

    We do not recommend Norton or McAfee as they might be resource intensive.
  • Firewall configured to allow Remote Desktop Access
  • Remote connect functionality via Remote Desktop
  • High-Speed Internet access (DSL, T1, WAN, etc.)
  • All software should be installed using Administrator account
  • Security settings must allow access to our FTP site (address to be provided). If Internet access from the machine is to be limited/controlled then access to the HandApps Server sync URL or IP must be configured.
  • Routing of HTTP to port 80 and HTTPS to port 443 as the machine uses IIS for sync processing
